Our Impact

We help support and strengthen Boulder County nonprofits through programs delivered by our Partner members in the areas of training, leadership development, and consulting services. To date, we’ve worked with over 200 Boulder County nonprofits providing nearly $7M value in pro-bono consulting, mentoring, coaching and education; and more than $1.7M in supporting cash grants.

Nonprofit Impact

Nonprofits can tap into SVP Boulder County in many ways. Depending on where they need support to grow and thrive, they can benefit from our education, leadership development, or consulting programming.

Since the start of SVP Boulder County, in 2000, we have worked with hundreds of Boulder County nonprofits. Here is a selection of those with which we’ve recently had the good fortune to partner.

“As an organization, our hope for working with SVP was to strengthen board leadership and clarify strategy for how to make an even greater impact through our programs. Through [the work with SVP], we were able to make significant progress in those areas that will enable the organization to make an even greater difference in the communities we serve.” – Shalene Onyango, Longmont Community Justice Partnership

“It’s a critical time for Wild Bear, we’re in a really big growth mode as we plan out this nature center with the hope to move in by 2023. So, we want to build a really strong horse to pull this cart and really deliver a robust program to serve the very diverse population of Boulder County. This is perfect timing for our relationship with SVP to begin.” – Jill Dreves, Wild Bear Nature Center

“SVP’s Executive Director Leadership Group has been invaluable for my work. It’s rare to have the opportunity to connect frankly and meaningfully with non-profit leaders sharing similar challenges and successes, all guided by an expert facilitator. I’m very grateful to be a part of it.” – Joanna Cagan, Executive Director, WOW! Children’s Museum

“SVP gives you an opportunity to leverage the skills and knowledge that would usually cost more than a nonprofit can afford. We could transform our strategy with the knowledge from those who had the experience and that could help guide us.” – Debbie Pope, YWCA Boulder County

SVP Outcomes

Grounded in the belief that evaluation of outcomes moves the sector forward, SVP Boulder County measures our impact on both the nonprofits and donor volunteers we engage.

We evaluate success across a number of dimensions – from attendee feedback on the value of our educational programming, the movement reported within our Catapult Investees, to the satisfaction of our Partner members. We seek to understand how we’re making a difference, and where there’s room to improve.
