Who Are SVP Partners?

An SVP Partner is a donor, a consultant, a volunteer, and a teammate all wrapped into one. We are a dynamic, intergenerational network of resourceful changemakers who care deeply about the Boulder County community.

Join as a Partner
Our partners represent a diverse cross-section of local talent, including:
  • Local Professionals & Industry Leaders: Experts in tech, marketing, law, finance, HR, and operations who are ready to activate their professional skills to strengthen local nonprofits.
  • Business Owners & Corporations: Forward-thinking local businesses of all sizes looking to align their corporate values with deep, systemic local impact and engage their employees in high-level volunteering.
  • Community Advocates & Retirees: Seasoned leaders and passionate residents looking to channel their lifetime of wisdom, experience, and resources into lasting community solutions.
  • Nonprofit Executives & Co-Creators: Social sector leaders who join SVP to share their expertise, engage in reciprocal learning, and collaborate as peers to build a more resilient ecosystem.
No matter their background, every SVP Partner shares a common drive: they don’t just want to write a check—they want to roll up their sleeves and co-create lasting change.

Why Join SVP Boulder County?

Partnering with SVP is a unique opportunity to align your resources, skills, and values for maximum local impact. When you join our network, you can expect a completely different approach to giving:

➡️ Your philanthropy deserves a strategy

Your tax-deductible contribution is pooled with other Partners to amplify capital and impact far beyond what individual giving can achieve. We focus on capacity building and systems change, helping nonprofits grow stronger over time rather than relying on one-off grants.

➡️ Leverage your professional expertise

Go beyond traditional check-writing. Contribute the skills you already have in strategy, finance, operations, marketing, or leadership in ways that meaningfully strengthen local nonprofits where they need it most.

➡️ See community change up close

Gain deep, firsthand insight into Boulder County’s nonprofit ecosystem. You will work directly alongside nonprofit leaders, master the principles of trust-based philanthropy, and become a more thoughtful, effective donor.

➡️ Tackle big challenges with sharp minds

Join a collaborative network of Boulder County’s most curious, generous, and committed leaders. We work together on projects, share ideas, and build lasting relationships—putting the “social” in social venture partners.

➡️ Engage entirely on your own terms

Your involvement is flexible. Choose how and when you show up—from hands-on project consulting to strategic investment and peer learning—based on your interest and availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the time commitment for an SVP Partner?

Your involvement is entirely flexible and responsive to your schedule. While active consulting projects typically average 3 to 5 hours per month, this looks different for everyone and changes throughout the year. We strive to right-size your partnership to match your current season of life, whether you want to dive into a multi-year cohort, consult on a short-term project, or simply support our work financially when your time is tight.

Do I have to be a business professional to join?

Not at all. We welcome diverse perspectives and life experiences. Whether you are a community advocate, a retiree, a nonprofit leader, or a corporate employee, your unique lived experience and passion for Boulder County are what matter most.

How is my financial contribution used?

Your partnership contribution is pooled with other partners’ resources to fund our capacity-building grants, support our hands-on consulting programs, and directly fund local nonprofits driving systemic change in Boulder County.

Is my partnership contribution tax-deductible?

Yes. Social Venture Partners Boulder County is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All partnership contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Can my company match my individual partnership contribution?

Yes. Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or triple your contribution. We recommend checking with your HR department to see if SVP Boulder County is eligible for matching funds.

Do I have to live in Boulder County to join?

While our work focuses exclusively on supporting nonprofits within Boulder County, we welcome Partners who live in surrounding areas but work, do business, or have a philanthropic interest in the Boulder County community.

What is the difference between an SVP Partner and a traditional volunteer?

Traditional volunteering often involves short-term, task-oriented projects. SVP Partners act as high-level, skills-based consultants and strategic thought partners, working directly with nonprofit leadership to build long-term organizational capacity.
