Partner Profile: Kelly Rasmussen

What led you to SVP?

I am like most people these days in Colorado…a transplant. Being the new Branch Manager at Bank of the West in Boulder, I knew that the best way to get integrated in the community would be through volunteer work. Pairing my skills in becoming a developed consultant and assisting in the enrichment of a community organization screamed a win-win situation in my book.

What do you most look forward to / hope to accomplish as a Partner?

I think we all initially become involved in volunteering because the idea of helping people makes us feel good and purposeful. I am most excited about developing my business strategy thinking in a creative intelligent environment. My fellow Partners have had a wealth of experience and I can’t wait to pick their brains.

What is your motto?

This changes all the time depending on the life stage I find myself in… Currently my favorite motto and quote is by Thomas Edison, “Opportunity is missed by people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

When and where were you happiest?

My future wife and I are planning our wedding (August). I can say this with firm conviction, that the weekend we get to spend together exploring this amazing new state has me smiling the most.
