Social Venture Partners Boulder County (SVP) proudly announces the appointment of two new members to the Board of Directors, Ariana Agombar and Belinda Hearn.
“It is exciting for us to welcome this next group of Board members. Both Ariana and Belinda have excellent experience serving community organizations and working to build strength and resilience in our community for those who are in most need of support,” said Joshua Silberstein, CEO, SVP Boulder County. “We are excited to learn and work beside them as Social Venture Partners continues our work to strengthen our Boulder County community.”
Ariana Agombar currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Development at Watson Institute, a nonprofit headquartered in Boulder, Colorado that equips impact-driven entrepreneurs from historically under-resourced backgrounds with the training, resources, and networks they need to thrive. In her role, Ariana oversees the development team, leads their partnership building strategy with new corporations, and is responsible for meeting the organization’s $3.4M philanthropy budget. Prior to Watson Institute, Ariana worked in strategy and development at RefuSHE, an organization that provides a holistic model of care for urban refugee girls and young women from throughout East Africa.
Ariana is a proud supporter of the Luvin Arms Sanctuary in Erie, Colorado. She has also played an active role in the University of Colorado Boulder’s Conference on World Affairs. Ariana was most recently a Fellow with Impact Denver and she earned her Master’s in Public Administration with distinction from the University of Colorado Denver.
“It’s an honor for me to join SVP Boulder County’s Board of Directors and I look forward to supporting the Board to deepen and expand its impact to better serve Boulder’s thriving nonprofit community with capacity building and funding. Nonprofit organizations are a pillar of the community I care deeply about, and I can’t wait to get to work!” said Ariana Agombar.
Belinda Hearn currently works in the Office of Racial Equity for Boulder County where she co-creates and implements programs to address racial disparities in leadership opportunities for Boulder County employees. She has worked for the last six years in two other roles within Boulder County government, the last being People Engaged in Raising Leaders (PERL) which worked closely with SVP and their Board Development Resource Team. Prior to that Belinda worked at Boulder County Workforce as a Business Services Representative. Belinda received the 2022 Racial Equity award from Boulder County.
Belinda relocated to Colorado in 2016 from Atlanta where she focused on supporting communities by way of human services and social work. Belinda has a BA in Criminal Justice from Fort Valley State University (HBCU in GA) and a Master of Public Administration from Troy State in Alabama.
“I am excited to serve on SVP’s board because there is an actualization and realization that community supports communities and humanity of those they serve. It is not just talking the talk but being in alignment in beliefs that there are tapestries and spaces for all and not just some and we are better together,” said Belinda Hearn.
