Social Venture Partners Boulder County announces investments of pro bono consulting and $76,000 to local nonprofits

Boulder, Colo. (May 18, 2015) – Boulder County nonprofits are receiving over $100,000 in pro bono consulting and $76,000 in cash grants from Social Venture Partners Boulder County (SVP) for 2015. SVP engages donors, community members, and nonprofits to work side-by-side to address Boulder County’s greatest needs. Investments of pro bono consulting and cash help nonprofits scale their organization and their community impact.

“SVP Partners voted to invest in Attention Homes, Voices for Children CASA, Center for ReSource Conservation, InReach (formerly Boulder Institute for Psychotherapy and Research), Safe Shelter of St Vrain Valley, and Boulder County CareConnect because of the vital work each group is doing for Boulder County.” says Jennie Arbogash, Executive Director. “We are especially excited to be supporting two of these organizations for the first time.”

“We were finding huge demands for our services but lacked the infrastructure, training, and systems to serve our potential clients,” says Cindy Divino, InReach Executive Director. “We talk about a project and SVP helps carry it through from beginning to end.”  According to Divino, the consulting work from SVP “feels like a game changer.”

SVP has provided more than $3.5 million worth of pro bono consulting, coaching, education, and cash grants to 25 nonprofits across Boulder County since 2000.  This mix of time, money and expertise improves mission impact and sustainability for nonprofits and builds meaningful relationships between givers and organizations.

In 2015, SVP will work with investees on projects such as strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, board development, human resources, and technology.  Details about 2015 investments can be found on the Grantees tab here (find a complete listing of SVP investments made since 2000 on the Nonprofit Stories tab of that same page).  A variety of reports on the impact of SVP can be found on the Outcomes + Reports tab here.
