Physics with Barb Truan

  • What led you to SVP?

My personal experience with SVP as the Interim Executive Director with Boulder County Care Connect brought me to SVP. I worked with Peter Spear and a number of other Partners and had such a great and rich experience I became interested in becoming a Partner.

  • What do you most look forward to / hope to accomplish as a Partner?

It’s early going for me in SVP so I’m not sure what it will be, but I know I want to make a positive impact.

  • What do you want other Partners to know about you?

I have an education and business background. I like to see the big picture and am a strategist who is solution and action oriented.

  • What do you most value in your friends?

My friends come from a variety of fields and backgrounds. I appreciate their different view points and experiences. For me, friendship is about mutual trust and fun.

  • What is your motto?

I don’t have a motto, but I was once asked to pick one word that best describes me and I think movement is the word.

  • What is your most marked characteristic?

E=MC2 – Energy = Movement, Merry, Curiosity, Challenge

  • When and where were you happiest?

Based on my personality it’s never just one thing. It could be sitting on my porch enjoying the view, having a great conversation, meeting new people, or seeing a new country. I am happy doing many different things.
