Farewell to Program Associate Caitlin

by Jennie Arbogash, Executive Director

2015June - SVP Caitlin Plaza small In the Fall of 2014, SVP Boulder County was graced with a new source of passionate leadership in Caitlin Plaza when she became the first Program Associate. We have appreciated her smile, dedication, humor, can-do attitude, and deep love of logistics. Our dear Caitlin’s time with us is coming to an end as she has accepted a full-time position with Galvanize in Denver. Her last day at SVP is March 17th.

Caitlin’s had whopping big impact in her short time with SVP, particularly through:

  • The launch and first year completion of Execs Evolve (executive coaching for nonprofit directors)
  • The launch of Invested EDs (peer learning for current and alumni Investees)
  • A successful year one of Colorado Gives Day (raising over $6,000 for SVP’s programs) 2015June - SVP Office Fun, p1 small
  • Increased presence on social media
  • Improved use of our Salesforce database
  • And, strengthened internal infrastructure

We are fortunate to have increased our community impact through Caitlin’s hard work and will release a job announcement next week to keep the momentum going. Until a new hire is completed, Jennie Arbogash will be the contact for any of Caitlin’s responsibilities.

Thank you, Caitlin, for blessing us with your presence. We wish you wild adventures and continued social impact!

Caitlin will be one of the Community Coordinators at the Galvanize Golden Triangle Campus in Denver. This was the first Galvanize Campus. The Community Coordinator is essentially the face of the campus or the point person. They are responsible for making sure that things are running smoothly at the campus, connecting members, answering any questions about the campus and courses offered there, supporting campus events, and more.  At Galvanize they believe in making education and growth accessible to anyone – especially underrepresented groups in the tech industry. Traditionally, industry and education have existed in separate worlds. At Galvanize, they’re bridging this longstanding gap by bringing industry partners, ambitious students, world-class education, and passionate founders under one roof.
