Firsts for SVP Boulder County

By Shannon Sackmann, Membership Director

Did you know in 2015, SVP Boulder County ran 13 BOARDS WITH BRAINS sessions? That’s over 30 hours of nonprofit training! We also provide our nonprofit investees with more than 2,000 hours of free consulting every year. And, we are piloting our first executive coaching program for nonprofit leaders.

SVP Boulder County builds relationships between donors, volunteers and organizations that are out to change our world. We help individuals make a greater impact when giving back, fund and strengthen nonprofits, and equip our community to tackle great social challenges together.

Since becoming a 501(c)(3) last year SVP Boulder County has been doing many of the things it advises other nonprofits:

  • Writing policies;
  • Developing new programs and social enterprises;
  • Investing in staff; and
  • For the first time, sending out a year-end appeal and participating in Colorado Gives Day (Tuesday, December 8, 2015).

The year-end appeal will hit mailboxes/inboxes the last week in November and is a way to provide SVP fans with an avenue to support our work. As we walk our talk and invest in ourselves, we want to build a community that will join us in amplifying the important work the nonprofit community provides to Boulder County. All of this work leads to stronger nonprofits that deliver better results! Better results, that allow us to live in a healthier, stronger, and more caring community.

Donate today and help extend our impact!
