Be SVP: Volunteers Wanted

It’s that time again – “PGC” time…just one of the many ways Partners can get involved in SVP.

The Portfolio Grant Committee, or PGC, is a select group of ten SVPers to research, evaluate and conduct due diligence on prospective and current investees as part of SVP Boulder County’s Portfolio Grant Committee. We’re looking for the volunteer team who’ll do the job and make an investment recommendations to the full SVP partnership in May 2015.

Consistently ranked the most valuable way to play in SVP, Portfolio Grant Committee members learn a lot about issue areas, community challenges, our local nonprofits, grant-making, and more. Curious? See the full opportunity description, and contact Jennie for more details about PGC.

In addition to the PGC, we’re also looking for Partners to serve as Executive Coaches for nonprofit leaders, help with writing projects (e.g. How-To White Papers for nonprofits, or a written history of SVP Boulder County), and other efforts.

Those don’t appeal at the moment? No worries; how about tapping into SVP’s nonprofit capacity building programming and working directly with an SVP Investee nonprofit? We’ve got projects that need Partners for all four of our current nonprofit Investees, Boulder County CareConnect, Boulder Institute for Psychotherapy and Research, Center for ReSource Conservation, and Safe Shelter of St Vrain Valley. Volunteer opportunities include projects around board development, marketing, strategic planning, social enterprise, and more.
