We’re pleased to introduce our community to Kyle Rhodes, an entrepreneur and one of Boulder County’s newest residents.
Kyle founded and ran his own company for about 18 years before selling it and moving to Boulder with his wife and two kids. He’s been here about seven months and is still getting acclimated. He loves every aspect of it, so much so that his only regret is not making the move a decade sooner! Now he’s joining SVP Boulder County as a new Partner, looking to give back and to connect with people who share his interests and drive.
The cause closest to Kyle’s heart is children, and making sure they have the resources they need to succeed and thrive. For him, it’s personal. As a teenager, Kyle was, in his own words, an “at-risk” youth. That experience showed him how easily good kids can make mistakes that follow them for the rest of their lives, and it has shaped how he thinks about community and generosity ever since.
Finding opportunities for growth is a belief that ran through his business career, too. His company donated significantly to charity over the years, but that isn’t what Kyle points to when he thinks of accomplishments. What he’s proudest of is the many employees who had the chance to grow their careers and build real achievements through hard work and merit. It’s the same builder’s mindset he brings to SVP: a meaningful engagement, in his words, means putting ideas to work and seeing the fruits of those ideas, with measurable data to show the impact.
Kyle’s interests range widely: politics, community building, travel, and just about any athletic activity you can name with youth sports sitting near the top of that list. And his favorite Boulder County gem? It isn’t a trailhead or a restaurant. It’s sitting on his porch at about 7:30 p.m. and just taking it all in.
